Shipping Rates: Shipping rates are based on a combination of weight, dimensions, zip code and the level of service you choose. (Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, 3 Day Select or Ground) So it really depends, the best thing is to come by or call for an estimate.

The UPS Store vs Other Shipping Stores: The UPS Store shipping price is set by UPS and can not be made higher. So at the UPS Store you only pay UPS prices! Other shipping stores have the flexibility to charge what ever the market will endure. That means; No store chares the same and No store charges less.

I Get a Discount At Another Store: That is true. However, one fact they don't tell you is thet their discounted price is still higher than The UPS Store. To lower your shipping cost simply go to The UPS Store.

Is UPS More Epensive?: Some shipping stores would have you believe this by raising UPS rates to allow customers to falsley believe they are getting a better price with another carrier!

What About Choice In Shipping Carriers: As shipper you will never know the difference in carriers, nor will the reciever; however UPS has the best on time record of all carriers and the best claims service of all the carriers. So your choices are the Best, Second Best, to Horrible.

Professional Packing: The UPS Store personel are professionally trained to pack your items safely. However, in rare instinces damage may occur, thats when The UPS Store's pack and ship promise takes over; you shipment, and packing are guarenteed. No other shipping store in the area offers anything like it. You are covered. Guarenteed.

AAA Discount: Show us you AAA card and recieve a AAA discount rate on printing, shipping, and packing.

Insurance: If your item(s) have value please package it safely (or better yet, have The UPS Store pack it for you) and insure it to it's full value. UPS is happy to pay damage claims provided the package was packed properly to begin with. 

UPS Claims: If a package is packed prperly UPS will pay the claim, regardless of anything you any have heard. However, if you use paper, newspapers, plastic bags, or clothing as padding; your claim will almost certainly be denied. If the box is a used box, you claim may also be denied. If it's breakable or valuable, let The UPS Store pack it for you.

How to Pack: If your package is valuable please use a new box with bubble wrap and Styrofoam peanuts with at least two (2) inches on all sides and between items.

Used Boxes: A box that has been through the shipping processes is some 30% less effective in protection your items. You may use a used box but make sure it is very sturdy; however, no hazardous material markings like "ORM-D" or a diamaond shape hazardous materials sign is acceptable. Do NOT use any alcohol, liquor, or motor oil boxes.

$1,000 or More: If your items are valuable or very fagile, it is best to use the box-in-box method of packaging to ensure safe arrival. It costs more but well worth it.

Mailboxes: A mailbox at The UPS Store is both cost efficient and convienient. With our mailbox, you can recieve UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, and other carrier services. We will sign for your packages and let you know when they arrive. As a serviece, you can have both text and email notification for mail and package arrivals with no additional charge.  Try to get that at another mailbox store!

Shipping Wine, Tobacco, and Firearms: Shipments of  alcohol, tobacco, and firearms are regulated. This store does not have the licences required to ship these items. Please contact UPS directly for information at 1-800-742-5877.

Home or Business Adress: A business adress is about $2.00 less expensive than a residential adress. Sorry, "at home" businesses do not count.

Ship Early: Ground service is the least expensive way to ship, so the earlier you ship the less cost to you! During the holidays, one week early is the minimum but two weeks is better.
