Regardless of claims made by the post office no package is guaranteed for delivery date. Packages may take from one day to never for delivery, and the post office will not take responsibility for your loss or damage of any kind unless you purchase insurance.
Flat rate boxes are lower cost. Not true. 80% of the time a flat rate box will be more expensive than a similar UPS shipment. 15% of the time will be about the same cost without the insurance or tracking ability given by UPS at no cost.
